Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, National Engineering Survey and Design Master, Senior Engineer (professor level)
He has served as the chief engineer of the SMEDI since 1985, also served as deputy director of Municipal Engineering of the China Civil Engineering Society Institute, and served as the vice president of Shanghai Society of Civil Engineers. Currently, he serves as the Senior Chief Engineer of the SMEDI.
He was awarded the first "National Engineering Survey and Design Master" granted by the Ministry of Construction in 1989, has enjoyed the special allowance of the State Council since 1990, awarded the "Mao Yisheng Bridge Award" in 1994, awarded the "National Outstanding Young Expert" twice, awarded the National Advanced Worker in 1995, successively awarded the Shanghai Top Ten Science and Technology Elite, Shanghai Science and Technology Hero, Shanghai Construction Systems Luminaries in Nineties; elected as academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering in 2005; awarded Science and Technology Achievement Award of Hong Kong Liang Ho Lin Fund. Lin Yuanpei is also the NPC member of the 15th National Party Congress. |
National Engineering Survey and Design Master, Senior Engineer (professor level)
Cui Jianqiu worked in SMEDI since 1958 after graduated from Tongji University in Highway and Urban Road. He has worked in road engineering design and research for over 50 years. He has been chief engineer of SMEDI since 1988, and vice director of the national road engineering construction standard design professional committee, deputy director of the editorial committee of the journal of Urban Road, Bridge and Flood Control, He has enjoyed special allowance of the State Council since 1992, and he was elected to be the National Engineering Survey and Design Master in 1994. Now he is our Senior Chief Engineer.
Master Cui Jianqiu has made outstanding achievements in road engineering research, planning and design, and he has very high prestige in innovation of design theory. He presided dozens of major engineering design, especially in the design of high-grade automotive proving ground which filled the gaps of our country and made a pioneering contribution. |
National Engineering Survey and Design Master, Senior Engineer (professor level)
Yang Shousheng worked as Deputy Chief Engineer of SMEDI since 1990, and Chief Engineer since 1996. He also served as vice director of the Water Commission of Science and Technology Committee in Shanghai Municipal Construction Committee, and director of the Municipal Engineering Commission of Shanghai Pudong New Area Construction Committee of Science and Technology. He was awarded as Outstanding Young Civil Engineering Science and Technology Worker by China Civil Engineering Society in 1988, and the Outstanding Contribution Expert in Engineering Technology by the State Council in 1992, and gained special allowance of State Council. He was included in the 11th edition of the World Who's Who by the International Biographical Center of Cambridge in 1995, and was given special feat. In 2000 he was elected as the National Engineering Survey and Design Master. Now he is a Senior Chief Engineer of SMEDI.
Master Yang Shousheng has engaged in urban water supply and drainage engineering design and research work for more than 50 years, in the 60s and 70s of last century, he did the studies and tests on the management technology of phenol containing wastewater, oil refining wastewater, petrochemical wastewater and printing and dyeing wastewater. He designed the urban sewage drainage engineering planning and design for Suzhou city of Jiangsu province and Xiamen of Fujian province. Since 1984, he has been the total technical director for some biggest world bank loan projects such as the first phase of the combined wastewater in Shanghai, the second phase of the combined wastewater in Shanghai, and the river water environmental governance in Shanghai Suzhou, etc. He has also successively presided over the design of dozens of sewage treatment plants. He has won many first prizes in excellent design of the country, the construction ministry and Shanghai. His representative works include Theory and Practice of Aeration and so on. |
National Engineering Survey and Design Master, Senior Engineer (professor level)
He received a Bachelor and Doctoral degree in Bridge Engineering at Tongji University in 1984 and 2007. Since 2004, he has been Chief Engineer of SMEDI, Adjunct Professor and doctoral supervisor of Tongji University, vice director of Bridge And Structure Engineering branch of China Civil Engineering Society, vice director of the Science and Technology Committee of Shanghai Construction and Traffic Committee. He is an Outstanding Individual for Shanghai Major Projects, Shanghai Leading Talent. He enjoys special allowance of the State Council, and he is a National Outstanding Contribution Expert in Science and Technology. He was elected as the National Engineering Survey and Design Master in 2009.
Master Shao Changyu has engaged in the work of bridge engineering design and research for nearly 30 years. He presided over a number of national key large-scale bridge engineering design and research work, which covers highway bridge, railway bridge, highway-railway composite structure bridge and highway-track composite structure bridge. These bridge projects contain complicated construction conditions like cross-river, cross-sea, strong wind resistance and strong quake resistance, etc. He has strong innovation and pioneering. |
National Engineering Survey and Design Master, Senior Engineer (professor level)
Zhang Chen received a Bachelor degree in water and wastewater engineering at Tongji University in 1985. He has served as the Chief Engineer of SMEDI since 2001, director of the Sludge Sub-committee of Water and Wastewater Technical Committee in the National Standardization Committee, director of Water and Wastewater Engineering Committee of China Engineering Construction Standardization Society, member of the Municipal Public Sector Professional Committee of the Ministry of Construction, as well as Adjunct Professor at Tongji University. In addition, he was selected as national talent in the New Century Talents Project, the inaugural Shanghai Outstanding Individual for Major Engineering, Shanghai Leading Talent, and enjoys the special allowance of the State Council. He is elected as National Engineering Survey and Design Master in 2010.
Master Zhang Chen has been engaged in urban water supply and drainage engineering design and research for many years, and presided in over 40 major engineering and scientific research projects including the Asia's largest Shanghai Bailonggang Sewage Treatment Plant, Shanghai Shidongkou Sewage Treatment Plant which possess the world's largest integrated biological reaction tank and the first set of sludge drying incineration device, Chongqing Jiguanshi sewage treatment plant, the most important environmental engineering in the Three Gorges Reservoir Region, Key Technologies Research and Application in Shanghai Suzhou River Environmental Governance. He was awarded the Second Prize in the National Prize for Progress in Science and Technology, First Prize in the Shanghai Prize for Progress in Science and Technology, one gold award and two sliver awards in the National Excellent Design Award, ten first prizes in National Survey and Design Industry Award and eight first prizes in Shanghai Outstanding Design Award, etc.; presided over the preparation of ten national, industrial and local standards; six edited works and received 18 patents. |
National Engineering Survey and Design Master, Senior Engineer (professor level)
Ma Biao has been engaged in the bridge design and research work after graduated in 19983, has been a deputy chief engineer of Shanghai Municipal Engineering Design Institute (SMEDI) since 2000, and was entitled as a professor-levelsenior engineer 1999. Mr. Ma Biao successively takes charge of designing more than 30 large projects of long-span bridge, large urban interchange viaduct, highway and light rail combined bridge, long highway tunnel and etc. which won the gold award of national excellent engineering design for two times, the silver award for three times, the first prize of national science and technology progressaward for one time, the secondprize of national science and technology progressaward for one timeand the first prize of national excellent survey and designaward for nine times. Mr. Ma Biao successively has the honors of the First Mao Yisheng Bridge Youth Award in 1997, enjoying the special allowances of the state council in 2002, a leading talent of Shanghai, a model worker of Shanghai and etc. Mr. Mao Biao is an editor in charge of the industry standard --"Urban Bridge Design Code" at the same time of design, obtains one patent for invention and nine patents for utility model according to the engineering practical innovation, and has published more than 30 theses.
Shanghai Lupu Bridge completed by Mr. Ma Biao in charge of technology won 2008 silver award of national excellent engineering design and 2005 second prize of national science and technology progress award. This bridge is the super-large arch bridge firstly innovated to use the box arch structure in the World and became the landmark building of 2010 Shanghai World Expo. Lupu Bridge has created the world record of arch bridge and has made great contribution to catch up the world advanced level for the bridge technology of China. Xupu Bridge completed by Mr. Ma Biao in charge of technology won 2000national ninth excellent engineering design gold award. This bridge is the first cable-stayed bridge of long-span concrete girder and steel-concrete combined girder structure in the world, which provides a new choice for widely adapting various construction conditions economically and reasonably to construct the long-span bridges. |
National Engineering Survey and Design Master, Senior Engineer (professor level)
After graduating from Tongji University in road engineering in 1985, he worked in our institute and engaged in road traffic engineering design, research and consultation for more than 30 years. He has successively taken charge of or presided over the design, research and consultation of dozens of major road traffic projects, covering many fields such as municipal road traffic, comprehensive traffic hub, highway, special road, etc., and has a high reputation in the industry. He has been working as the deputy chief engineer of our institute since 2002, receiving special allowance from the State Council in 2007 and being elected as the National Engineering Survey and design master in 2019.
In the important development stages of China's road traffic, especially urban road traffic, he has successively taken charge of design and consultation of a batch of high-grade, pivotal road traffic projects, such as Shanghai-Hangzhou Expressway (Shanghai Section), overall design and Puxi Northeast Section Engineering of Shanghai Middle Ring Road, Foshan 1st Ring Expressway, Wuxi Inner Ring Expressway, Nanjing South Railway Station Integrated Traffic Hub, Shanghai South Railway Station Integrated Municipal Supporting Facilities, Pudong Airport 1st and 2nd Phase Municipal Supporting Facilities. |
