In recent years, with comprehensive promotion of municipal engineering specialties level and persistent tracking of municipal engineering technology development frontier, and taken science and technology innovation and technological progress as the mainline, SMEDI has actively developed 22 enterprise independent special core technologies in six major professional fields, i.e. large modern bridge engineering, road traffic integration engineering, urban water supply system engineering, sewage treatment and drainage engineering, large underground space development engineering and maglev rail engineering.
